Veterans Affairs Council and Ministry of Labor Hold Employment Forum tomorrow to Provide Veterans and their Relative with Employment Opportunities (June 15, 2016)
(Military News Agency reporter, Xu Zhen-Wei, Hsinchu, June 14th) To assist the retiring military personnel and military veterans in entering the employment market, and to provide enterprises with a diversity of channels for talent searching, the Vocational Training Center, Veterans Affairs Council and the Taoyuan-Hsinchu-Miaoli Regional Branch, Ministry of Labor will be working together, with the assistance of other departments such as Taoyuan Veterans Service Center, to organize the “Bringing You to a Future Worth Working For” employment forum. The event will be held tomorrow (15th) from 0900 to 1300, at Taoyuan Vocational Training Center (No. 78, Sec. 3, Chenggong Rd., Taoyuan Dist., Taoyuan City).
The Veterans Affairs Council indicated that the joint employment forum will invite 43 famous enterprises from sectors such as bio-technology industries, traditional industries and service industries, and offer more than 1,900 vacancies to assist the job search of retiring military personnel and veterans.
The Veterans Affairs Council expressed that, the vocational training center and the Taoyuan Veterans Service Center will set up service booths during the event to provide information for academic studies, employment, vocational training and other document collection services. Candidates that submit resumes to more than 2 enterprises or press “like” on the Facebook page of the Vocational Training Center will be eligible to receive a set of exquisite gifts. All veterans, their relatives and retiring military personnel are encouraged to participate.
