Ministry of Defense Deputy Chief of Staff Wang Xing-Wei Inspects Rescue Command Center for the Effective Integration of Rescue Resources (Sep 24th 2015)

Following the missing Air Force Academy AT-3 military trainer plane (Number 0851) yesterday, Ministry of Defense Deputy Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Wang Xing-Wei arrived at the rescue command center today to learn more about the progress made in the rescue operations. He also ordered rescue departments to coordinate their efforts under a single command platform and establish comprehensive imaging information to ensure smooth communications, increased rescue efficiency and rescue golden time.
Accompanied by staff from Ministry of Defense and General Staff departments, Deputy Chief of Staff Wang Xing-Wei arrived at the rescue command post established in Hong-Ye Police Station, RueiSuei Township to understand more about the rescue progress, and ordered the rescue forces to implement coordinated leadership while also directing the joint search and rescue mission grouping and integration of public resources in the hopes of finding the precise location of the missing aircrew and establish quick response measures to complete search mission.
As of currently, the military has deployed numerous S-70C helicopters, E-2K Hawkeyes and CH-47 helicopters from air bases in Chiayi, Pingtung and Hualien and other locations, and deployed several rescue groups including Special Forces Command officers and soldiers, Air Force rescue crew and local youths. Through the last known radar location and vector coordinates, regional rescue missions will be conducted in the hopes of finding the missing crew in the shortest time.
