The Ministry of National Defense issued a press release regarding activities of CCP aircraft and vessels as detected around the Taiwan Strait today (September 1, 2022)

The Ministry of National Defense (MND) stated today (1^st) that a total of 53 CCP aircraft sorties (including 23 sorties crossing the median line of the Strait and its extension into the south-west airspace) and eight CCP vessel sorties were detected as of 17:00, and they have continued to carry out maneuvers over the sea area and airspace of the Taiwan Strait. The Armed Forces have adopted mission aircraft, vessels, and shore-based missile systems to closely monitor and respond to such matters.
