The Ministry of National Defense (MND) stated today (8^th) that a total of 39 aircraft sorties (including 21 sorties crossing the median line of the Strait and extending to the southwest airspace) and 13 CCP vessel sorties were detected at 17:00. They continue to operate around the Taiwan Strait carrying out joint naval and air exercises. As such, the Armed Forces have issued an alert and resorted to joint intelligence, and surveillance and reconnaissance systems to closely monitor the situation, and adopted air recon patrol forces, naval vessels, and shore-based missiles to respond appropriately.
