Air Force Command issues a press release stating that "the Mirage fighter jet is suspected to have a brake failure."

Air Force Command stated today (1^st) that when the Mirage fighter (aircraft number 2024) under the command of the Hsinchu Base was performing routine training in the evening, the brakes were suspected to have failed as it landed at Hualien Base. Fortunately, the pilot dealt with the situation appropriately, and the plane was stopped by an interception net. After checks and inspection, both the pilot and plane were found to be safe, and a special ad-hoc team was set up to look into the reasons for the incident.
