In response to media reports that "the progress of the Domestic Shipbuilding Program of large-scale vessels has been delayed with no headway made. Only transport vessels have been launched on time", Naval Command explains today (10^th) the situation as follows:

1. To establish combat capability of sea-control in line with defense operations, the Navy has, with regard to the new generation of primary battleship-related weapons and equipment configurations, strictly and cautiously conducted selection operations based on current operational requirements. As such, the content reported by the media is not factual.
2. The Armed Forces should continue to implement its national shipbuilding policy, and pragmatically promote the build-up of various projects by the Forces. While doing so, it calls on nationals for their continued support.
