Regarding the media coverage titled “Chin-da sold Malaysia-made masks to military hospital,” the Ministry of National Defense (“MND”) said today that Chin-da is one of the bid winners of medical masks for the military. The contract specifies that products made in China are prohibited. In case of any violations, the MND will terminate the contract, seize the performance bond, publicly annul the bid winner qualifications and demand for compensation accordingly.
The MND said that all military-affiliated health care institutions have not procured any medical masks from Chin-da as of today. There are still masks left in stock at MND that are made by Chin-da; however, they have been identified and are pending further disposal.
