The 6th Army Command stated that a CM11 battle tank of the 584th Brigade under its authority accidentally collided with a traffic sign on the central division island when it was passing through the intersection of Bade Road of Hukou Township, Hsinchu County, in early hours of this morning (9th). The unit immediately contacted the competent authority of the Hsinchu County Government for repairs, and notified the police who began an investigation.
The Army is deeply sorry for any inconvenience caused to passers-by. The unit will also review the cause of the accident and will endeavor to strengthen driving safety education and the defensive driving skills of its subordinates to maintain operation safety.
