The Ministry of National Defense (MND stated today (16^th) that "the CCP launched a satellite from Jiuquan, Gansu Province, at 09:36, and its orbit passed over the northern seas of Taiwan. The Armed Forces adopted joint intelligence surveillance and reconnaissance measures to follow the launch closely. Some wreckage from the rocket fell into the alert area off the northern coast of Taiwan without jeopardizing homeland security.
