Marine Corps Command stated today (8 th ) that when the 99 th Marine Brigade carried
out a weapon and ammunition inspection, it discovered that two "Gunlocks" of a
T91 rifle were missing.

Marine Corps Command further stated that it ordered all units under its command to
fully implement a firearms and weapons check, and strengthen internal management
and control of weapons, ammunition, and explosive materials. It will also use this
incident as an example in training to prevent the recurrence of a similar issue.
