The Ministry of National Defense issued a press release regarding activities of CCP aircraft and vessels detected around the Taiwan Strait today (August 31, 2022)

The Ministry of National Defense (MND) stated today (31^st) that a total of 62 CP aircraft sorties (including 15 sorties getting into the south-west airspace) and seven CCP vessel sorties were detected as of 17:00, and they have continued to carry out maneuvers over the sea area and airspace of the Taiwan Strait. The Armed Forces have adopted mission aircraft, vessels, and shore-based missile systems to closely monitor and respond to such matters.
