The Ministry of National Defense issued a press release regarding activities of CCP aircraft and vessels detected around the Taiwan Strait today (August 29, 2022)

The Ministry of National Defense (MND) stated today (29^th) that a total of 37 CCP aircraft sorties (including 12 sorties crossing the median line of the Strait) and eight CCP vessel sorties were detected as of 17:00, and they have continued to carry out maneuvers over the sea area and airspace of the Taiwan Strait. The Armed Forces have adopted mission aircraft, vessels, and shore-based missile systems to closely monitor and respond to such matters.
