The Ministry of National Defense issues a press release stating that the Armed Forces have mastered the maneuvers of CCP aircraft and vessels today as they continue to operate around the Taiwan Strait and conduct joint naval and air exercises (August 7, 2022)

The Ministry of National Defense (MND) stated today (7^th) that a total of 66 aircraft sorties (including 22 sorties crossing the median line of the Strait and extending to the southwest airspace) and 14 CCP vessel sorties were detected at 17:00. They continue to operate around the Taiwan Strait carrying out joint naval and air exercises. As such, the Armed Forces have resorted to joint intelligence, and surveillance and reconnaissance systems to closely monitor the situation, and has adopted air recon patrol forces, naval vessels, and shore-based missiles to respond accordingly.
