Press release by the 8th Army Command
The 8th Army Command points out that President Tsai inspected the 564 Brigade yesterday (4th), and the unit demonstrated fighting capture techniques. After the exercise, officers and soldiers saluted the presiding officer and bowed, which is common etiquette and protocol for fighting capture. Military activities such as camp-opening and practicing fighting skills are also conducted accordingly. As such, this is not only a manifestation of personal combat strength and ability, but also denotes the spirit of sportsmanship, warrior style, and commensurable etiquette. The 8th Army Command emphasizes that the servicemen of the Armed Forces always stand by their posts and work hard in their duties of combat readiness, even when the Chinese New Year was approaching. Command also urges the outside world not to interpret combat exercises for warfare with narrow and distorted viewpoints, and continue rendering support and encouragement to the Armed Forces. .
