The Ministry of National Defense issued a press release stating facts "related to recent actions by the CCP Army in the Taiwan Strait and other regions" (August 13, 2020)

In response to media reports, the Ministry of National Defense (MND) stated today (13) that the Armed Forces have resorted to joint intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance measures to closely control situations around the Taiwan Strait and developments at sea and in airspace. The current situation is normal, and our nationals are called upon to rest assured.
The MND stated that cross-strait stability is the cornerstone of regional peace, and the Armed Forces will continue to build up its solid national defense force and are both capable and determined to defend the freedom, democracy, and sovereignty of our country, helping to render contributions to regional security and stability.
