In response to the media report that “as the Minister of the Military Intelligence Bureau honorary discharged, the National Security system and the Ministry of National Defense are fighting for the leadership of personnel appointment”, the Ministry of National Defense stated today (14th) that the personnel assignment of the national army are following the regulation of “Act and Enforcement Rules of Assignment for Officers And Noncommissioned Officers of the Armed Forces” and “Regulation of the Transfer Process of Candidates of Critical Military Position of the National Army”, taken factors such as term of service and missions into consideration and follow the procedure to convene Human Resources Evaluation Committee under the principle of fairness and justice and recommend the candidate upon the review of all committee members. The media report of the personnel appointment is inconsistent with the fact, and we appeal the media not to report the transfer of critical military position of the national army simply by their speculation and result in misleading.
