The Ministry of National Defense issued a press release to explain that “The Ministry of National Defense has not officially list it into the procurement list with the US yet”. (March 15th, 2018)

The Ministry of National Defense Minister Yan De-fa said today (15^th) that fighter planes are expected to have the function of short range take-off and landing, attack out of the line-of-sight distance and concealment in the future, all planes with the aforementioned function are possible candidate including F-35, but the Ministry of National Defense has not officially list it into the procurement list with the US yet, and hereby clarified.
