    On October 21, the Ministry of National Defense (MND) reported that a US and a Canadian warship had sailed northward through the Taiwan Strait. The MND stated that the ROC military closely monitored activities in the peripheral waters and airspace as the warships sailed north, reporting that everything was under control.
