The Ministry of National Defense (MND) stated that in response to media reports that when President Lai paid a visit to Kinmen yesterday (23rd), "the combat readiness and UAVs carried out by PLA UAVs may have intruded our territorial range of 24 nautical miles", it has verified that the tracks of the two UAVs were quite far from Mianmen Islet or Pengjia Islet and they did not enter the adjoining areas of our 24 nautical mile range. The Armed Forces adopted joint intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance measures to closely monitor the situation, and dispatched mission aircraft, warships, and shore-based missile systems to respond accordingly.
