Ministry of National Defense Issues Press Release Regarding “PRC Satellite Launch Mission from Xichang Satellite Launch Center in Sichuan”

The Ministry of National Defense stated that at 1100 hours today (September 29), the PRC Xichang Satellite Launch Center in Sichuan conducted a satellite launch mission on a carrier rocket. The rocket’s flight path passed through the southwestern part of Taiwan’s Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ) toward West Pacific, at an altitude outside the atmosphere, posing no threat to Taiwan. The ROC Armed Forces employed the Joint Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance system to closely monitor relevant activities and responded with appropriate vigilance and measures.
