      <title>MND Reissue the Commemorative Medal to American Sergeant Toy(100/11/30) </title>

<p>(27<sup>th</sup> Nov, Yi-li Juo, Taipei, Military News Agency) To express the gratitude and esteem toward predecessors who helped fighting against Japanese during WWII, MND finalized the reissuance of the commemorative medal to American Sergeant, Mr. Stanley Toy at his request.&nbsp;The medal has passed on to R.O.C. delegation in America to award Mr. Toy this honour on behalf of R.O.C. government.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>According to MND, Sergeant Toy lost the original medal and hoped for reissuance.&nbsp;Upon receiving his request in written form, MND proceeded to reissue the medal right away and prepare the certification to commemorate Sergeant Toy&rsquo;s events of fighting against Japanese during WWII.</p>

<p>In Sergeant Toy&rsquo;s letter, he is proud of being participated in WWII and feels very honoured to accept the commemorative medal for his events of fighting against Japanese issued by R.O.C.&nbsp;He also expressed the deepest sorrow to those who lost their lives during the war.</p>
<div>The commemorative medals were issued to military personnel and civilians who helped with fighting Japanese during 2<sup>nd</sup> Sino-Japanese War to show R.O.C. government&rsquo;s appreciation.&nbsp;The team members of American Volunteer Group &ndash; The Flying Tiger and the bereaved wife of the chief, Anna Chen were also awarded such medal.</div>
