Permanent Secretary of Ministry of National Defense Lieutenant General Wang, Hsin-Long hosted Voluntary Military Service Advocacy Forum in South Taiwan to listen to grassroots soldiers’ recommendations and encourage the retired military personnel to remain. Today, Ministry of National Defense held 2015 Voluntary Military Service Advocacy Forum in South Taiwan. Through explaining related recruitment policies and supporting measures and carrying out the opinion exchange, Ministry of National Defense allowed attending soldiers to understand the current status of recruitment and the goal of voluntary military service and hoped to increase the recruitment and retention and lay a solid foundation in the national fighting forces.
In the morning, the Forum was held at Zuoying Naval Base and hosted by Permanent Secretary of Ministry of National Defense Lieutenant General Wang, Hsin-Long. In the forum, Permanent Secretary Wang listened to grassroots soldiers’ recommendations for the promotion of voluntary military service and gave feedback. In addition, Permanent Secretary Wang also encouraged soldiers to work together and continuously pursue the goal of building a good work and living environment, further inspiring youths’ passion for the military service and attracting outstanding talents to join the national armed forces.
The Forum invited related cadres and soldiers from the army, navy, air forces, reserve commands, and military police and arranged specialists to elaborate the topics like the “issuance of retention consolation money”, “advanced studies”, and “improvement in living facilities”, which allowed attendants to clearly understand the supporting measures and guideline of the existing voluntary military service.
